A leaked draft of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report has revealed scientists are almost certain human activity is causing global warming.

Drafts of the fifth assessment report says it is 95 per cent likely that humans were the principal cause of warming. This is 5 per cent higher than their conclusion in 2007.

The draft report predicts that sea levels will rise by 29-82cm over the next 90 years, causing significant damage and disruption to coastal and inter-tidal population centres, infrastructure and habitats.
