In 2012, sixty students travelled to communities affected by coal and coal-seam gas in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland to see for themselves the effects. Mining the Truth records their experiences, and gives voice to some of those whose lives have been turned upside down. This thirty-minute documentary will be introduced by Pat Schultz, who has a long history of environmental and social activism, and has stood for election as a candidate for the Greens.
There will be discussion after the screening.
