Armidale Action on Coal Seam Gas has been discussing how to engage the wider community for a while. On Annie Kia’s advice (Annie developed the CSG Free Community Strategy), the organising group decided to try Fran Peavey’s strategic questioning. If I understand it correctly, the idea is to ask strategic questions which will open up possibilities rather than presenting information to convince people that they should be concerned. We are fortunate to have Adam Blakester who knows about strategic questioning and has agreed to present a workshop on the topic. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and extend ourselves.
