People may think that they have to be a home owner to make changes to their carbon footprint or their energy use.  However, physical changes to our environment are just one way.  The lasting changes are those that involve our behaviour, the choices we make about what is important in our life styles.  The behavioural options can be achieved by anyone, not just those who have the resources to make physical changes.

These are the assumptions of the I Can Do It! program being run by Sustainable Living Armidale and supported by the Environmental Trust.  To assist people to identify the changes that they can make a Public forum will be conducted on Tuesday 29 May from 6-8pm at the Wesley Hall Uniting Church.  This forum, organised by SLA and conducted by Mahalath Halperin, will bring local knowledge and resources together to assist make these changes.  Free winter workshops will be run during June to August on efficient heating, reading your meter or energy bills and making curtains and pelmets.  Also, a housing tour will be arranged to share local solutions to these issues.

If anyone is interested in attending the forum or workshops, please contact Debra Mill on 0468379370 or email icandoit@slarmidale.org
