You are invited to a
Celebration of Environmental Action
An Open Space event where the participants will decide the agenda and content.
We will workshop solutions to environmental issues like Global Warming, biodiversity loss, air pollution, and loss of farmland to coal seam gas extraction.
We will engage in participatory democracy, and discuss green and independent politics, eco-feminism, nonviolence and artistic activism, peace, spirituality and consciousness transformation.
We will network, share information, and engage in collaborative learning. There will be opportunities to watch activist films and powerpoint presentations, listen to and play music, and create artworks. Time will be allocated for walking and enjoying nature, relaxing and chatting, yoga and meditation.
- Venue: Thalgarrah Environmental Education Centre (18 km from Armidale). Basic dormitory and camping are available along with a communal kitchen and BBQ area
- Dates: 7 October (Friday evening) to 9 October (Sunday lunchtime).
- Cost: $120 (unwaged $80).
