Coal seam gas meeting Wednesday and Pilliga field trip

Hi everyone,
There will be a meeting this week about what we can do here in Armidale to help prevent the amazing Pilliga Forest from being turned into a gigantic coal seam gas field. The meeting will be held this Wednesday, 10th August, after the showing of Gaslands at The Armidale Club (which commences at 7.30pm). Also, the Armidale National Parks Association is planning a field trip out to the Pilliga in spring, to revel in it’s wonderful wildflower display and to inspect the current gas field. Accommodation has been booked at Pilliga Pottery (and is available for those who get in early) and there is also plenty of camping space available, with facilities.
The trip will be held from the 17th-19th September, and all are welcome to attend. If you are interested in being a part of it, please contact Carmel Flint on {mobile phone prefix O-four}00 521474 or Kate Boyd on {local land line prefix}2 4026. If you want accommodation, please get in contact as soon as possible while there are still spaces available.
Regards, Carmel
