Graham, Shavari, Albert, Debra, Dave and I have agreed to meet at Graham’s place (TELL, Sattlers Rd, Armidale) at 2pm on Sunday 21st November to plan/discuss further and we welcome anyone else who is interested in contributing. Iain has agreed to create a new action group on the main SLA site and we will start to investigate how to develop our own LETS site (either within SLA’s site or separately).
For now, I will be researching how LETS function (rules, procedures etc) and starting to build materials for a website. I am thinking that the Central Coast Info Sheet provides a great model for us, but realise that we may want to modify it to suit our local requirements. Alternatively, we may decide on a different model. Can I suggest that those of you interested in contributing to the design of our LETS read this info sheet and the other material provided and think about any changes we might make? Then you can make suggestions by either attending the meeting or emailing the group.
Finally, I named this email list ArmLETS and that got me thinking that we will need a name for our new LETS group. So any suggestions for a name are also welcome.
