White Rock Wind Farm Public Open Day

Local community members are invited to take a bus tour to visit White Rock Wind Farm on Sunday 21st October. Buses will depart from the Old Railway Station – Lambeth Street Glen Innes. Buses are scheduled to leave every 20 minutes between 9am and 3pm and the tour will take approximately one hour.

The event will align with the ‘Wind Farm Open Day’, an initiative of the Clean Energy Council. White Rock Wind Farm will be one of ten wind farms across Australia opening to showcase their facilities to the general public. For more information on events at other wind farms, see here.

  • Where do I take the bus from?
    At the Old Railway Station, Lambeth St. Glen Innes. Look for the signs and parking attendants.
  • Where should I park?
    The Old Railway Station, Lambeth St. Glen Innes.
  • What time do the buses leave?
    Approximately every 20 minutes between 9am and 3pm.
  • How long will the bus tour take?
    Approximately one hour.
  • Will I have a tour guide?
    Yes! Tour guides will be on all the buses and at the wind farm.
  • Can I drive to the wind farm myself?
    No! All access to the wind farm will be via bus tours.
  • Do I need to rsvp?
    No! Just show up at the Old Railway Station and be allocated a bus.
  • What should I wear?
    Enclosed comfortable shoes, long sleeved shirt, long pants and a hat.
