Family Fun Creek Ride!

Join us for a leisurely bike ride along Dumaresq Creek or be more energetic and join in the QR Code Chase or just look fabulous for Best Dressed Bike! Whichever way you roll it all begins at the Farmers’ Market in Curtis Park at 10:30am. It finishes when you return to the Market just before lunch with plenty of options for a feed.

The QR CODE CHASE is a game during the Family Fun Creek Ride where you keep an eye out for QR codes as you ride along the bike path. 

1. Find QR codes stuck on things e.g. post, bin etc.
2.  Scan the code using an app on your phone
3.  Answer the coded question on the card given before the ride begins using a pen or pencil
4.  Finally hand in the completed card with your name on it to have a chance to win a $100 bike voucher from Bicycles on Marsh!

Look fabulous with your gorgeously done up bicycle to be in the riding for the Best Dressed Bike Prize! The BEST DRESSED BIKE will win a $100 bike voucher from Bicycles on Marsh!

What you need to know

• The ride gathers at 10:30am Sunday 16th September 2018 from Curtis Park
• The ride is 5km loop along Dumaresq Creek at your own pace
• You could win — QR Code Chase and lucky riding prizes
• The ride is along the cycleway, with only one road crossing
• Beginners welcome
• Suitable for mountain or road bikes
• All cyclists must wear a correctly fitted helmet
• Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
• To play QR Code Chase you will only need a QR Code Reader for your device (no internet is needed on the day)
• Participants should have their bike in good working order
• Bring a water bottle and sun protection
• Guided by Sustainable Living Armidale Transportation Committee riders
