Armidale Men’s Shed Open Day

We have passed one year at our new location – almost settled in!

We are now in a position to make greater use of these facilities and to build the role of the Armidale Men’s Shed as a significant location for arts and crafts and for men’s health.  We seek to hold a monthly event at the shed on the second Sunday, beginning on March 11.  That day will be an open day running from 8.30 till 2.30 that includes:

• A theme related to our timber and joinery work – the first theme is the “making, repair and maintenance of outdoor furniture”
• A car boot sale
• The shed will be offering a range of furniture, wooden toys, surplus tools and timber products
• There will be an art gallery with items for sale
• Food and drinks will be available
• A raffle of a load of firewood
• Information about the shed, its programs and services

We also note the passing of John Brandis a member for some years.  An event celebrating John’s life will be held at the Bowling Club on Saturday March 3 at 2pm.  No black clothing, just happy stories about John and his life.
