Progressive Cinema presents ‘This Changes Everything’

Saturday, 28 Nov
6:00 pm

12141792_1142018055827661_336092122447527786_nInspired by Naomi Klein’s international non-fiction bestseller ‘This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs the Climate’, the film presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond. Interwoven with these stories of struggle is Klein’s narration, connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Throughout the film, Klein builds to her most controversial and exciting idea: that we can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better. The screening is free, we will collect donations for the Green Left Weekly Fighting Fund. 6pm Saturday, 28 November, Uniting Church Hall, 114 Rusden Street, Armidale, Progressive Cinema presents ‘This Changes Everything’.

I acknowledge* that without Bea Bleile’s efforts, this film would not have come to Armidale. Cheers Bea.

    Best regards,

*Trying to refrain from saying thank-you. No similar expression was used during 50,000 odd years of human life on this landmass – and those Aborigines did not do such a bad job.
